1️⃣ Экран настроек Hide My WP
Экран [Settings] плагина Hide My WP разделён на шесть вкладок: Start, Hiding, Permalinks, Protection, Cleanup и Replace. Адрес входа и скрытие находятся на вкладках [Hiding] и [Permalinks], XML-RPC — на вкладке [Cleanup].

Список меняется кнопками [Whitelist this IP], [Delete] и [Filter by Source].

[Manual Configuration] открывает в новой вкладке правила, которые нужно вручную добавить в .htaccess.
Менять можно все поля; если изменить четыре жёлтых поля и нажать [Save Settings], экран для посетителя без входа ниже изменится.

Если на вкладке [Hiding] включить Hide Login Page, стандартный [wp-login.php] возвращает 404, а при отметке сразу раскрываются поля Login Query и Admin Login Key.
Если на вкладке [Permalinks] ввести в Change Login URL новый адрес, например newlogin, и сохранить, экран входа будет открываться по этому адресу. Если оставить новый адрес пустым, войти можно будет только через запасной адрес с Login Query и Admin Login Key, например [wp-login.php?hide_my_wp=1234]; этот запасной адрес открывается при любых настройках, поэтому значение ключа смените с 1234 по умолчанию на своё.
3️⃣ Настройки Hide Login Page & Hide Admin
Hide Login Page скрывает экран входа, а Hide Admin — адрес панели администратора /wp-admin/.
Если скрыть только экран входа, WordPress перенаправит посетителя без входа, открывшего /wp-admin/, на изменённый адрес входа, и новый адрес станет виден. Это как сменить код на входной двери, а охранник всё равно сообщает новый код каждому, кто спросит.

Если включить обе, /wp-admin/ и /wp-login.php становятся несуществующими страницами (404), и экран входа открывает только администратор, который знает изменённый адрес.
Если включить ещё и Hide Admin, /wp-admin/ для посетителей без входа выглядит как несуществующая страница (404), и новый адрес входа узнать нельзя.
4️⃣ Отключение XML-RPC
Даже если скрыть адрес входа, [xmlrpc.php] остаётся ещё одним входом, который принимает имя пользователя и пароль.
Если на вкладке [Cleanup] включить Disable XML RPC, запросы, требующие входа, отклоняются с кодом 405 и сообщением [Сервисы XML-RPC на этом сайте отключены.], но сам файл [xmlrpc.php] продолжает отвечать. Чтобы запросы не доходили до PHP, закройте его в настройках сервера.
Бывает, что после снятия отметки Disable XML RPC и сохранения настройка остаётся включённой, поэтому после сохранения проверьте ещё раз по фактическому ответу.
5️⃣ Правила .htaccess, которые остаются после отключения Hide My WP
При нажатии [Save Settings] Hide My WP добавляет правило для нового адреса входа внутрь блока WordPress в .htaccess.

RewriteRule ^newlogin /wp-login.php?zV_hide_my_wp=1234 [QSA,L]Даже после отключения плагина эта строка осталась в .htaccess, и экран входа продолжал открываться по изменённому адресу. Удаляя плагин, удалите эту строку из .htaccess и сохраните файл.
