South Korea's Map of Tourist Attractions puts 600+ tourist attractions nationwide and the top 100+ museums and art galleries on a single map โ€” browse by region and category, and check admission fees, opening hours and closed days at a glance. On the IT website Uknew, you can check it here.

Tap a region on the map or search for a name. Toggling the category button on and off updates the map to show pins and area pop-ups for that category. Initially, pins for nationally representative attractions are displayed; zooming in or clicking โ€œShow Allโ€ reveals every attraction. Since the score is calculated by adding up only verified items, there is no upper limit.

Weโ€™ve gathered Koreaโ€™s tourist attractions in one place, organized by region and category. When you tap a province or city on the map, the areaโ€™s royal palaces, museums, beaches, and theme parks are displayed by category, and each card includes practical informationโ€”such as admission fees, operating hours, parking, and days offโ€”assigned as scores for each item. Basic information on more than 600 tourist attractions nationwide is Korea Tourism OrganizationAs noted above, Iโ€™ve added descriptions and sources that I verified myself for the 21 featured attractions. If you find a place you like, just add it to your โ€œFavoritesโ€ and then proceed to make a reservation.

๐Ÿ”ข Criteria Used to Rate Tourist Attractions on the Map

The scores assigned to tourist attractions nationwide are calculated by adding up only the verified items, and there is no upper limit. Therefore, a low total score does not necessarily mean the attraction is poor; rather, it means there are few items that can be verified using publicly available data, or that many items do not apply to the attraction in the first place.

The items are divided into four categories. PriceThis section covers free admission, published fee schedules, eligibility for free admission, and group discounts. Public InterestWe check whether it is a nationally designated heritage site and whether it is directly operated by a public agency. ConvenienceCheck the operating hours and days off, parking information, stroller and wheelchair access routes, and the official website. SatisfactionThe criteria include whether a site is a nationally renowned attraction, the number of visitors, whether it is open at night, whether it is open year-round, and whether it has been selected as one of the โ€œTop 100 Korean Tourist Attractions.โ€.

Each entry on the tourist attractions map is displayed in one of three states: solid-colored entries are confirmed, those outlined in a dotted line are unconfirmed, and gray -The marked item does not apply to that facility. The fact that the public interest score for a privately operated theme park is 0 does not mean points were deducted; it simply means the item does not apply.

๐Ÿ”ฃ FAQ

No. It means there are many verified items. Since the scoring system favors public facilities that operate for free and publicly disclose their hours and days off, private facilities receive lower scores even if they meet the same criteria. The fact that the โ€œpublic natureโ€ column for private theme parks is left blank in gray does not mean points were deducted; it simply means there is no applicable information. Please view the scores as a checklist rather than a direct comparison.

The Korea Tourism Organizationโ€™s TourAPI is updated early every Monday morning, but there are times when the source data is updated late. For locations where rates change frequently, itโ€™s safer to double-check the official website along with the original text printed on your card. In particular, beach opening periods and special exhibition fees change every year.

We maintain a list of Korean tourist attractions for which search volume and visitor demand have been verified. We also incorporate the โ€œTop 100 Korean Tourist Attractions,โ€ selected every two years by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, and assign satisfaction scores to the selected sites. Among these, we have included original descriptions and source links for the 21 representative sites in each category.

I did not include entries without photos or coordinates, nor did I include places in different categories, such as shopping or restaurants. Some places were omitted to balance the number of entries per region, so their absence does not imply that they are of lesser value.

It is saved only in the browser you are currently using, without requiring registration or login, and can store up to 20 items. Since it is not sent to a server, it will not be visible on other devices or in other browsers, and it will be deleted when you clear your browser history.
