Namecheap Promo Code: .com First-Year Price, Coupon Terms and Renewal Fee

I checked the Namecheap promo code and sale prices before buying tozisin.com this time. The $6.79 .com price on the home page is for new customers only, so my existing account got the 26th birthday sale price of $10.98. I confirmed the actual charge of $11.18 and the renewal price on the cart and checkout screens.

1️⃣ Namecheap Discount Labels and Eligibility

Namecheap shows different sale prices on its home page and on its event page. On the home page, the search box shows [.com only $6.79*], while the event page listed the .com sale price as $10.98 on the same day.

The asterisked condition for $6.79 is in the FAQ at the bottom of the home page: it applies only to new first-year registrations by new customers, with one purchase per household. Entering the NEWCOM679 coupon on an existing account shows the error [This coupon has expired or has already been applied to your account(s)].

2️⃣ 26th Birthday Sale and Namecheap Promo Code

The banner's [Up to 79% off] is not the .com discount. In the 26th birthday Namecheap sale, new registrations cost $10.98 for .com (regular $14.98, 27% off) and $7.98 for .co (regular $38.48, 79% off), and the sale price applies to the first year only.

For domain transfers, entering the Namecheap promo code BDAYTRANSFER26 gives up to 30% off, and a .com transfer costs $10.48. The event page's sale prices apply from October 6 to October 12, 11:59 PM (US Eastern Time).

Existing customers get 15% off when renewing domains, hosting, SSL certificates and PremiumDNS during the two days of October 13–14. The same renewal offer also appears on the dashboard of a logged-in account.

3️⃣ Checkout Total in the Cart

In the cart, the ICANN fee of $0.20 is added to the $10.98 domain price, so a one-year registration of tozisin.com came to $11.18. Domain Privacy is selected by default at $0.00 [FREE FOREVER].

Auto-renew (AUTO-RENEW) is also on by default, while PremiumDNS ($4.88) and the Stellar Web Hosting free trial are shown unselected.

4️⃣ Paying with Account Funds

There are three payment methods: card (Secure Card Payment), PayPal and account balance (Account Funds). If the balance is lower than the total, you cannot pay the rest by card; you top up the balance and then start checkout again.

After adding $7 to a $4.36 balance, [Your current balance covers your purchase] appeared, and I paid $11.18 from the balance. The top-up screen is shown in the expired domain repurchase case.

Namecheap's birthday is Tozisin's birthday. tozisin.com was registered on October 9, 2026, during Namecheap's 26th birthday sale.

5️⃣ Namecheap Renewal Fee and Total Cost of Ownership

Even if you register at the first-year sale price, you renew at the renewal price the following year. On Namecheap's pricing page, the .com renewal fee is $18.48, while the first-year registration price in the same table is $10.98.
